Our winner is a band called Ulyatau from Kazakhstan, and you can view their interview right after their win, here.
Djooky wants to thank every artist who participated in the Winter Season of the DMA. It is time to Meet The Winners Of The DMA Winter Edition, where I'm proud to point out you'll find Nigerian Tam Ben's song Electric Vibe in 3rd position overall; and in our all new Afrobeat category Make You Mine by Laydon from Zimbabwe takes the number one spot.
These are truly exciting times for emerging talent right across the planet, and I have to say, Africa is so well represented and our artists are doing us proud.
I've created a Djook Africa WhatsApp Group wherein we lend support to African talent by working from within the community to boost and promote our own. And we've had some success. The third overall winner in the Winter Edition is Tam Ben from Nigeria, whilst the first winner in the Afrobeat category is Laydon from Zimbabwe. Both of these artists are in my WhatsApp group.
What I'm trying to do now is to push the Djooky weekly charts to encourage artists to go for the weekly cash prizes, thereby organically building this incredible movement exponentially. We've had tremendous success in recent weeks with Tam Ben, who's won the top chart position multiple times. You'll find out more about this weekly chart here.
So we suggest you submit your song entry as soon as possible!
