Talent Showcase Africa Radio Charts Weekly Blog Post - December 23rd, 2022


On the Talent Showcase Africa Radio Charts this week, we have the very first Christmas number 1 single. So, entering the chart at number 3 this week is Alcaido from Botswana with Not Sorry, a song that’s been on heavy rotation on the TSA playlist of late. Afrobeat artist Yusuph from Nigeria drops a spot to number 2 with VIBE, after being at number 1 for two weeks. Zambia’s Slick One & Shicorrigan move up two places to the number 1 spot with Been Through A lot (Ft. K.R.Y.T.I.C. & Eli D), to become the first ever number 1 Christmas single on the TSA Radio Charts. Enjoy!
 
Meanwhile, the ENERGY100 fm streaming service is currently down due to software issues and this is why this particular Talent Showcase Africa Playlist on The Late Night Cruise was not streamable online. Radio Energy’s management does apologize for the inconvenience caused. The show did run on FM however, and you can listen to the Podcast herePlease share on your social media.

I've Been Discovering New African Talents & Charting the Best tracks

It has been a while since my last blog post, I know. I didn't stop blogging though. In fact, quite the contrary. 

I've been busy developing a new brand and working in radio to push emerging African artists from across the continent, to the fore.

So my daily activity nowadays involves curating music from emerging artists and handpicking those that I will air on radio via Talent Showcase Africa Playlist. 

All tracks will first air on online radio Nam Radio Local and then later, the show is repackaged and customized for Namibia's mainstream channel ENERGY100 fm.

We officially launched the Talent Showcase Africa Radio Charts on Namibia's ENERGY100 fm at 2100 CAT, on 17th June 2022. This is definitely a milestone in this entire idea, as it completes the package intrinsic in launching unsigned, emerging artists via radio. Now let's take a look at this week's singles chart (below).
