Saturday Night Jazz Chugging Along Nicely

Another gig this weekend. How time flies. I'm into my third public appearance in as many weeks. The idea is to push this through to becoming a weekly Saturday Night Jazz event. We're still looking for more sponsors to keep this going. The attendance numbers are certainly growing. We're onto a good thing here. I think Dar is loving this. My audience last Saturday had me do multiple encores...it was simply amazing and unexpected. Thanks to all of you for your support AND for bringing along your friends to the gig. Hope to see you all again this Saturday 26th March 2010.

Jazz & Blues Bar Gig @ Harbour View Suites Hotel

I debuted at the Jazz & Blues Bar at Harbour View Suites last night. What a fabulous venue. Their New Orleans style room looks amazing after sundown and the view of the harbour is simply breathtaking. It's a shame not a lot of people go there. Folks, you don't know what you're missing. This bar is awesome. There's nothing like it in this town. Nothing.

I sang thirteen classics plus my new single, enjoyed every minute. Thanks to all of you for coming (you know who you are); and thanks to my sponsors Business Times, Times 100.5 FM, Majira, Harbour View Suites and DarCity Promotion for making this event possible. Hope to see you again next time.

Temptations Revue Concert to Benefit S.C. State Students

I've been touched by this. I feel this could be done in Tanzania -- or in any country. Let me know what you think? The harmonies of a classic Motown group will pave the way to meet the financial needs of South Carolina State University students. Chapter member Willie Bamberg conceived the idea after attending the group's show in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., last July. He said concert proceeds can help students pay incidental expenses. "We have a lot of students who get hit with unanticipated fees, usually around $100 to $200," Bamberg said. "It's not a lot of money, but often they can't afford the extra amount. Because of that, they aren't able to pay and have to leave school. "The stats show the ones we lose often don't come back. This money will help bridge that gap. (The band) wants to do this and give back to the community. We want to take advantage of it." Read the full article here!
